Meet the Family

Thanks to technology, many of you, literally around the world are praying for Eden, Kurt and Selena. Soo... many of you have not met any of them. Here they are, meet these dear friends and pray for strength & encouragement.

Today some time around noon, Eden will have the surgery to place a port for the chemo.

Our thanks again to Linda Drish for the picture of the family.

  1. Kurt,
I work for Dr. Perkins in his Washington office on Weds. What beautiful ladies you have been blessed with! I have witnessed the power of prayer, and the miracles the Lord blesses us with in praying with thousands of others for Nathan Detweiler during his illness. I know your family will be blessed to witness the same support.
Do not be afraid, the Lord has His hand on the Levetzow family. He will not let you fall.
Thank you Lord for all blessings received.:)
    peace to all of you,
    Jo Weidner

You probably don't know me, but I am good friends with the Jim Nebel Family. My family personally knows how powerful prayer can be. Hold tight to each other. God will take care of you. Nancy Adrian

  6. Eden, Kurt and Selena--I was so glad to find out about this site. There are lots of prayers coming your way. The boys and I talked a lot about their favorite little red head at lunch today. (Because they STILL don't have school!) They have promised to pray really hard for her, too. Please give her lots of hugs and kisses from her cousins in Gilbert!

    Love you guys!
    Heidi

  10. Dear Eden, Curt & Selena,

My name is Melanie Bimson. I found your website through a friend's posting on Facebook and I see that Linda Drish took some photos of you all. My family is in Washington, I grew up in Washington, and my mom is a nurse at Family Practice, her name is Cathy Buffington.

My husband and I understand what you are going through - our now 19-month-old son was diagnosed with Pre-B ALL on December 11th - a short one month ago. We live in Austin, TX. Please contact us if you would like to talk or want to vent. The first month is a lot to take in, and can be hard to handle. We will add your sweet little one to our prayer list, and with your permission, I will forward this blog to our prayer warriors. You can read our son's story (Pierce) at: https://www.caringbridge.org/visit/piercebimson

I can tell you that in this short time that we've been fighting Pierce's leukemia, we have met legions of people who we already cherish. We have been blessed many times over, in ways that we could not have previously imagined. God has shown Himself in miraculous ways, and our lives have a new direction. As much as I would prefer that Pierce not have this as part of his life, he does, and it will one day shape him into a wonderfully caring man.

    Email melaniebimson@yahoo.com or call 512-535-1989.

  14. Dear Curt, Selena and Eden,
my name is Iryna, I am from Ukraine. I was an exchanged student the previous year and stayed in Iowa, went to the IMS. I had a great experience thanks to the hospitable Christians I met there. They tought me a lot about God, who I thought I already knew well before. And I've learned there how powerful prayers can be.
The adress of this blogpost Linda has given to me. Though we have never met with you, I will be praying for your family. I will be asking God to heal your little cute Eden.
    God bless you.
    Iryna,
    Ukraine
