Going Home?

Well they are listening to Eden's request as we had the first Dr mention that we may be able to go home tomorrow. We are waiting to see what Eden's Dr has to say later today. Please pray that we will be able to go home for a couple of days.

We definitely see how fast toddlers learn as Eden is telling the nurse to "scan it" (her ID bracelet) and holds it up for them. When they ask about her port she pulls up her shirt. It is good to see her adjusting . . . but as parents, these are not things you want your child to have to learn.

It is time to play so we will update you later.

  3. What great news guys! I know that the road ahead is a long one but we're praying for God to give your family the strength you need to get through each day. Some songs that have gotten me through trials are Mountain of God by Third Day & If you Ask Me To by Ginny Owens. Also, I'm glad to see you connected with another family. If you go to www.carepages.com, you can search for other kids with the same type of cancer that Eden has. I found the VanWey's & BaileeOliviaWilliams both as kids that have been treated at the U. It definitely gave me comfort to connect with people who had faced the same situation we faced so you can know what to expect.

  4. Dear Kurt, Selena, and Eden,
I heard about all that you have been going through from Kurt's sister, Kelli. I just wanted you to know that I have been and will continue to pray for all of you. Many of the people of Faith Lutheran Church in Andover, Iowa have joined me in praying for you. It is great to be able to check this blog for updates, but please know that if there is anything else we can do for you from here that you will let us know. Trusting that God is with you always, Pastor Shannon

  5. I am so glad to hear that you may get to go home for a few days. I'm sure that you will all rest so much better at home. I pray that God continues to keep his healing hand on Eden and that He continues to comfort her Mommy and Daddy as you adjust to the challenges that you will be enduring in the next few days and weeks to come. Please let us know if there is anything at all that you need, we are always here for you! Thanks for the updates it is nice to hear about the smiles that Eden shares with you, it always puts a smile on my face as well! Praise God for the wonderful work that he is doing in sooo many lives in sooo many ways! Smiles and Hugs to you all! Rochelle

  10. At every mealtime and before bedtime, we ask Lily to say her prayer. She says, "Pray Eden better" and we finish with more prayers. We hope you get her note of encouragement for Eden soon... We will pray for peace and comfort as you bring Eden home for a little while. Our church (Christ Community Baptist in Puyallup, WA) is also praying for you. Love, John, Nichole & Lily Gruber

  11. Kurt, Selena and Eden, can't you feel the love when you read these comments from your friends and family!! I didn't know you knew so many people! It would be interesting to know how many hundreds of people are thinking about you and praying for Eden at this moment. We love you and are thinking about you constantly. Love, Scott, Kelli, Evan, Aaron & Michael (Layla too!)
