Kurt & Selena received the specific diagnosis for Eden this afternoon: Pre B Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. It is one of the more common kinds, which is treatable. Eden will hopefully not have to be in the hospital for more than a week or eight days. She will come home but have to go back to the hospital for chemo a number of times in the next month.

ReplyDeleteWe have never met but I am Joan Hippen's sister. Joan has been keeping me updated on Eden. On November 20 one of my 4 year old pre-school students was diagnosised with Luekemia. She has gone through 2 rounds of chemo so far and has 3 more to go. As of December 26th she is in remission. I can remember the way I felt when her dad first told me so I can only imagine what it is like to have it be your own child. I will keep Eden in my prayers along with both Kurt and Selena.
