Strides

Thanks for praying for more energy . . . Eden had a good day and made great strides in walking. She still seems disinterested in playing, so that is still something we can all pray for. Her spirits continue to remain strong - each time she cracks a smile (which is often), we're very thankful for time spent with her!

Back to Eden's favorite subject - FOOD. Last night, she was requesting "getti", spaghetti that is. So this morning, I asked her what she wanted for breakfast....french toast? No she said. Oatmeal? No she said again. I said, then what do you want???? "Getti" she politely asked. So her lunch was gone by 7:30am. Tonight, her mom cooked her fish, at Eden's request. Mom baked 3 slabs of some sort of mild tasting white fish (no, not Skunk River carp), Eden ate 2 of the 3 pieces. Mom and I ate really good home-made bread and cupcakes (thanks Fultons). Maybe some day we'll stop talking about food.

  1. Hi Levetzows! We're so grateful for the updates on Eden, so we can continue to lift her before our Father asking to meet every one of her needs, and yours. We hope you're enjoying the sunshine and we'll pray that Eden has the energy to return to playing soon. We love your family, and we're praying. Love, Tony & Cari

  2. Look forward to the updates and knowing how little Eden is doing, and what "new" foods are in her diet. We continue our prayers, and especially with the chemo on Friday coming up, we lift Eden and mommy and daddy up in prayer, praying to strengthen them with His love and caring ways. We love you all so much. Aunt Mary and Uncle Heinz

  3. During consolidation, we woke one am at 3 to Rose saying 'Mama, Mama. Hamburger.' You will get through it though. Lynette

  4. I was reading through the blog, and wanted you to know that the alcohol gel is great and we bought a huge bottle of it from Sam's to refill all our small bottles located at every sink and door. Just so you know though, it doesn't kill most viruses, including cold viruses and RSV. Handwashing is the only thing to get rid of those. Rose played with her older sister's friends while she was in treatment, because they were rarely ill. You may find that having some 'teens over to play with her may help her mood when she gets tired of being isolated. Lynette PS my email is liles64@gmail.com if you need anything.

  5. Hi Selena, Kurt, and Eden,
So good to hear about Eden's progress and all the things she is doing. Can't believe all the things she likes to eat. Thanks for taking the time to keep us posted.
We had a wonderful weedend for the wedding. The weather was beautiful, thanks to all the prayers, and the happy couple are off to Cancun for their honeymoon.
I asked Lisa (Cody's wife) about Eden's cancer. She takes care of patients just like Eden. She said a lot of time the little ones don't get very sick. There will be days she doesn't feel good, but they don't seem to get as sick as some of the older kids. Hope that will be the case for Eden. Have a good week, love to all.

  6. Hi Kurt, Selena & Eden, how we wish we could spend time with you & send treats to share! Sounds like you need to start cooking like you have a teenager in the house! You're blessed to have so many loving & generous friends and neighbors, sorry we can't be more helpful. Love you & think of you always! Scott, Kelli & the boys!
