It didn't hurt Daddy

"It didn't hurt daddy" are the first words we heard ~4am this morning. We are so thankful that the port was successful and Eden will have very few pokes going forward. She slept great and decided she wanted to spend some quality time with Dad & Mom from 4-5:30. We saw smiles that made the short night seem like the best night sleep. She is resting now.

As you pray today please pray:

  • That her fever will subside
  • She will have NO "icky sicky" from the chemo
  • our Dr has a great weekend with her family

Thank you for praying. The power of prayer is all that is getting us through.

Love,
K & S

  2. We love you Eden and are praying for God to give you strength and peace. You have a wonderful mommy and daddy and a perfect Heavenly father who is holding you in his hands, too. Be tough, little one, and know you are deeply loved by many. God's army is strong and countless prayers are being heard right now for you. Love, Dan, Jennifer, Olivia & Hunter Shike

  4. "Hi" from Wisconsin, Kurt and Selena! We're praying hard for Eden and know that Sarah and Tim--our in-person support designees--are eager to help and be there in any way they can. From my computer, I am delighted to help in any way you think possible. I haven't seen Eden in forever...what a little dolly you have! Lovely photos! Perhaps (and I already suggested this to Sarah) your family, when you're in the mood for a short break and some deserved R&R this spring, would like to do a couple of days of boating/hanging @ the beach/rummaging/fishing in the Okauchee Lake, WI area? I know it's a way's off, but it might be an awesome bribe when you need one. ;) Thinking and praying every day...Joel and Becky Kleefisch and family

  5. Jennifer Shike passed along your prayer needs to our family, and we'll certainly be praying -- and it will be an easy one to remember, because our youngest daughter (23 months) is also named Eden! Hang in there, keep leaning on God, and know that there are people all over the country who are praying for your family. Sky, Allyson, Averhy, & Eden Sanborn

  7. Levetzow's, Precious words that I'm sure was music to your ears! What a little sweet pea! Thank you, Kurt and Selina, for keeping us all updated. You are such great parents! Although, we can't imagine what you are going through, this "storm" has rocked the boat of all your family at Faith and others as well. We're all in this with you and God is in control. Praise to Him! Hope you can feel our love all the way to Iowa City. Love, The Kissells

  8. Our prayers and love go out to Kurt, Selena and little Eden. God is with you, giving you strength and hope. God will see you through this each day, cling to His Love and know that you are not alone in this. The love of your family and friends are with you all the way. Give Eden a hug from both of us. She is such a precious little girl, with a wonderful mommy and daddy. May the healing process begin and the journey be not that long. Love to all.

  9. Hi Kurt, Selena and Eden,
We've never met, but our great friends the Shikes told us about Eden. Jennifer had talked about Eden and put photos of her on their blog at Christmas, so I felt like I already kind of knew her.
We wanted you to know we are thinking of your family and praying for all of you. We know we have a good and gracious God and his plan his perfect. We pray for healing and understanding during this time of trial. God bless you and your baby girl, Josh, Maggie, Mackenzie and Emma Malson

The girls and I are praying for Eden and for both of you to stay strong and keep fighting. This cancer will not stand a chance against the Levetzow Clan!!! 13. Kurt and Selena,
This is Christie VanWey, we met you in the hospital today. My daughter Mikayla is walking down the path you have been thrown on. I am so glad we ran into you. Please know that if there is EVERY a time you would like to talk, vent, cry or even pray with someone, we are here! We know what you are feeling, we know the road you are heading down. I will keep updated by this blog and will pray for your beautiful daughter! She is in good hands (both at UIHC and in God's).

One of the best resource we have found is other families. Mikayla has a carepage if you want to read about her journey you can do that. www.carepages.com carepage name is MikaylaVanWey

    Prayers!

  14. Dear Kurt, Selena and Eden,
It is difficult to know what to say. Little Eden has such a sweet heart and a firey spark for life! I remember her in Music With Me...oh how she loved the music! We are praying for you all. Just as others have said, our Heavenly Father is crying with you and holding you together in His hands. He knows your hurt...and He is the one who will heal all. We love you and will be here for you in any way we can!
